Mechanical Maintenance Tech I/II - (22689)

Primary: To provide mechanical/electrical support for all production equipment.
Primary: To maintain all process machinery in top working condition. Be proactive on preventive maintenance and machine reliability. To provide and suggest continuous improvement changes to equipment.
Primary: To continue your education and provide a training development plan to align yourself with your job requirements.
Secondary: To work with operations and engineering on machine updates and improvements.
-Understand all job related functions and quality requirements.
-Ensure quality & safety standards are met; report unsafe conditions, accidents or injuries per Andersen’s safety policy.
-Participate in all required training.
-Troubleshoot and maintain all production equipment.
-Basic knowledge in welding, machining, machine building, hydraulics and pneumatics.
-Make mechanical additions, modifications, design changes, and retrofit machine parts to existing equipment.
-Basic knowledge at reading schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints.
-Input design ideas for new machinery and equipment.
-Ensure proper preventative maintenance is performed on equipment.
-Ensure workspace is clean, safe and organized.
-Provide input and feedback to supervisor in regard to job performance.
-Perform special duties or assignments as required.
-Assist or perform other departmental jobs as directed.


-Prefer formal education with degree or diploma in related field– Technical College (or equal).
·Basic computer skills. (CMMS, Microsoft office skills, Outlook, Word, and Excel)
·Basic understanding of buildings/grounds infrastructures. (i.e. HVAC, plumbing, electrical, plumbing, irrigation, building structure, etc.).
·Strong customer focus: Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with internal customers, service providers, supervisor, and fellow workers.
·Required knowledge of using proper PPE. (Personal Protective Equipment).
·Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
·Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills; ability to work in a team environment.
-Machine blueprint reading.
-Welding skills.
-Power Transmission componentry, and pneumatics experience.
-Basic mechanical / electrical skills.
·Occasionally working near hot equipment and / or materials.
·Occasionally push-pull, lift/carry 10-100 pound.
-Occasionally squat, crawl, lift heavy material, job requires repetitive actions: simple grasping, firm grasping, fine manipulating with both hands, installing and maintaining equipment that requires climbing and crawling.
-Good physical condition. Note: Job requires extensive physical activity to include heavy lifting, climbing ladders, heights, etc.
-Willing to work flexible hours, shifts, and weekends when needed.
