Description

The Reliability Engineer is dedicated to the optimization of day-to-day asset reliability. Provide and/or improve asset capacity & reliability through technical support of the maintenance function and effective utilization of the preventive and predictive maintenance processes.

  • Professionally and systematically defines, designs, develops, monitors and refines the preventive maintenance process in pursuit of optimization
    • Proper utilization, operation and care of equipment
    • Comprehensive lubrication program (requirements, frequencies, and methods of application)
    • Inspections, adjustments, replacements, overhauls for selected equipment
    • Vibration, infrared, air leak and other predictive analyses and interpretation of results
  • Reduces and improves maintenance work processes wherever feasible; assuring efficient and reliable operation of plant processes and equipment while protecting and prolonging the economic life of plant assets at optimal cost
    • Develops engineering solutions to repetitive failures, pre-mature failures and other maintenance/operation problems
    • Identifies and corrects chronic, repetitive, and costly equipment problems through Root Cause Analysis
    • Provides technical advice to maintenance and operations
    • Implements methods to reduce the need for maintenance and ultimately eliminate the occurrence of failures
  • Identify and manage assets reliability risks that could affect business operations
  • Track the production losses and abnormally high maintenance cost and finds ways to reduce those losses.
  • Measure reliability
    • OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness)
    •  OPE (Overall Plant Effectiveness)
    • MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures)
Qualifications
  • 4-year degree in Engineering
  • 1-5 years’ engineering experience, previous exposure to glass technologies is preferred
  • Background in lean manufacturing principles with a focus on creating value/eliminating waste
  • Strong project management skills and working with a collaborative and cross functional team
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills and familiarity with data analysis techniques in Microsoft Office or other software
