Description
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will vary depending on area of focus assigned by management.  However, anyone with the job title “Quality Technician I” will be expected to learn and perform the following tasks:
  • Communicate, document, and help train operators on customer requirements.
  • Perform and document advanced product inspecting and testing
  • Verify products and gages meet specification as required
  • Measurement/Gage equipment support, inspection, and training
  • Participate in daily meetings as required
  • Participate in projects to address recurring issues by conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions
  • Work with leads, supervisors, technicians, and other quality support members to correct shifts/trends as necessary
  • Train operators on the use of test equipment and customer requirements
  • Assist in go/no go decisions on questionable product
  • Maintain and update QMS documents as needed
  • Perform and document quality audits
  • Create and distribute, in a timely manner, professional “Non-Conformance Reports” for in-process and sourced materials
  • Perform and document quality testing in color-matching,  dimensional analysis, and physical properties of in-process materials
Qualifications
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years of experience/ or equivalent knowledge with quality systems
  • Good computer skills:  Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Previous responsibility for verification of product conformance in quality or production role
  • Working knowledge and ability to use multiple types of measuring equipment
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and present findings in a clear, concise, and logical manner
  • Good organization, prioritization, and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast pace flexible environment
  • Strong aptitude in process improvement and problem solving
  • Proven team work and leadership abilities
